Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is tailored to suit children as young as 2 years old. Our philosophy is young children learn by doing.  Learning isn't by repetition; it's requires active thinking and experimenting to find out how things work and learn firsthand about the world we live in.

In the early years, children use their senses to explore the world (sight, hear, taste, touch, and smell). In using real materials such as interactive games, children learn new Spanish vocabulary and its association to English language.  It is our endeavor to help children become enthusiastic learners. This means encouraging children to be active and creative explorers who are not afraid to try out their ideas and to think their own thoughts.

2 years

Two-year olds have discovered the ability to express themselves. They are very emotional and can change from laugher to sadness in a few moments. Two-year olds shift their attention very quickly as they eager to learn many things. Our lessons are designed to incite their curiosities with loads of music to teach fun songs and enjoyable rhymes. Children participate in a variety of group activities that stimulates their five senses. We encourage toddlers physical development by providing activities that gives them simple Spanish directives and promotes small steps and body movement. Cognitively, they are able to recall and identify Spanish names of items. We use imitation and modeling techniques to help toddlers regulate their feelings and emotions during group activities as they understand simple rules directions of games.

3 years

The three-year old is full of wonder, and spends a lot of time observing and imitating. They love to spend time with adults and enjoy helping out with simple tasks. Our lessons are designed to intrigue their interests with simple  artistic projects. The projects gives them a sense of completion and build their creativity and Spanish vocabulary. Children participate in group activities to promote interpersonal skills such as sharing, listening to, and responding appropriately to  simple directives in Spanish. We encourage toddler's muscle development with activities that require them to jump, hop, skip, or toss items. Cognitively, children are inspired to use short Spanish sentences, count 2-3 objects (Spanish), and match objects and picture.

4 years

Four year-olds are energetic and imaginative. They often learn new words quickly and use them in chatting with others, telling jokes and sharing wild stories. Our lessons are tailored to satisfy their energy and creativity. Language acquistion is very important at this age as preschoolers are preparing for kindergarten. We actively engage preschoolers in activities that promote language skills such as playing Spanish board games, reading books, and recognizing the Spanish alphabet. Categorizing items in Spanish with emphasis on counting helps enhance their cognitive development. Preschoolers work on a variety of independent activites which aids them with their fine motor skills. Children use drawing tools such as pencils, crayons, markers, scissors and glue to complete Spanish worksheets and projects.

5 years

Cheerful, energetic, and enthusiastic are words that may describe the five-year olds in your care. They enjoy planning and discussing who will do what. Children are still learning critical social skills that allows them to maintain friendships. Our lessons are designed to help preschoolers prepare for school. Preschoolers learn simple Spanish phrases used within classroom. This includes  identifying classroom objects and actively participating in group discussions. Children learn basic Spanish syntax and grammar; they are able to read simple sentences and write. Preschoolers are excited about using drawing tools to complete worksheets within their work books.
